Hoka One One
Hoka One One is the brainchild of two trail running enthusiasts, Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud, who wanted to make a shoe that would allow runners to experience freedom and enjoyment every time they hit the trails or pound the pavement. To this end, they designed a shoe that would help alleviate fatigue, impact and muscle strain--common problems runners deal with every day. As a result, Hoka One One shoes merge aspects of minimalism and maximalism: Thanks to a revolutionary midsole foam that's 30% softer and 2.5 times more voluminous than standard EVA, they are both lightweight and super-cushioned, a unique combination not found in most other running shoes.
